ADOW NE DOMAGET 2018

Adow ne Domaget 2018 - Pagkilala, Pagkikilanlanan, Pagpapakilala (Dumagat Day 2018 - Recognition, Gathering, and Introduction), is the inaugural celebration of the Dumagat Day festival in Dingalan, Aurora Province. Presented by the Pasulosagkaden ah Kinasigepoan ne Domaget (PAKNED) and the Aurora Artist Residency Program and Space (AARPS), the festival highlighted Dumagat traditional games and cultural practices such as the pasurot-surotan (community meeting), a tribute to the community elders, and a community resolution against militarisation in the area and for the continuation of their fight for ancestral lands and self-determination.

This video is produced by AARPS and shows a summary of the festival's highlights.

ADOW NE DOMAGET 2019

The Dumagat indigenous people's community of Dingalan, Aurora, celebrates in 2019 its second Adow ne Domaget (Dumagat Day) festival, with the theme, Binhi at Bunga (Seeds and Fruits) to look back and reap the seeds that the community, along with its partners, planted during the first Adow ne Domaget festival in 2018.

This video is produced by AARPS and shows a summary of the festival's highlights.

The Adow ne Domaget festival's curatorial design highlights works by AARPS artist residents and collaborative works with the Dumagat celebrating the Dumagat culture. Take a glimpse at one example of such work, with this shadow play entitled Ang Bulaklak ng Dapdap ["The Dapdap Flower"], made by resident artist Karilyo for the AnD 2018 festival.
